Earthwise Products Ltd based in Didcot, Oxfordshire has won the regional FSB WorldPay award for Micro business of the year – part of a national campaign to find Britain’s most successful companies.
Iain McRitchie, Director of Earthwise Products Ltd said: “Winning the regional FSB WorldPay award for Micro business of the year recognises everything Earthwise Products Ltd has achieved in the last 18 months. We feel that this reflects our ethos of supporting homeowners to reduce their household costs and carbon emissions and are very pleased to have been recognised for our achievements.”
McRitchie continues, “Our flagship product – the SOLiC 200 –provides free hot water using only the excess energy generated by solar panels. It is the most efficient device of its kind on the market as it operates with a zero export threshold and it checks for excess solar power 20 times a second, so recognition of this kind is a testament to the quality of our work and how far we’ve come.”
David Knowles Leak, Thames Valley Regional Chairman said “The FSB WorldPay UK Business Awards are designed to raise the profile of small businesses across the UK and to highlight the crucial role they play in supporting the economy. We’ve had a high number of top quality entries this year and it’s a great achievement for three businesses from the Thames Valley to have been selected as winners for the South Central region of the awards
Ron Kalifa, Deputy Chairman of WorldPay said, “For too long small businesses were struggling through recession, hit hard by a consumer spending dip and financial pressures. WorldPay is proud to recognise and reward these entrepreneurs”.
More than 950 businesses entered the FSB awards, and Earthwise Products will now go onto the national final where they could win almost £10,000 as overall UK winner. The awards will be held in London in May with ‘The Apprentice’ star Karren Brady appearing as keynote speaker.
Earthwise Products Ltd launched the SOLiC 200 in November 2012.
The SOLiC 200 automatically provides free hot water from new and existing PV panels by diverting excess solar energy to the immersion heater before it‘s exported to the grid.
The SOLiC 200 is manufactured in the UK and complies with CE and British Standards. The unit has been engineered to last the life of a solar installation (25 years) and includes a 10 year return to base replacement guarantee.
